Managing your Direct Payments with Purple DPSS
Purple Direct Payment Support Service offers the following options:
- Purple Managed Account (Payroll & Invoicing): Purple manages funds, processes invoices, and makes payments to providers; DP holder handles contracts and issue resolution.
- Purple Managed Account (Payroll Only): Purple manages funds and payroll, making payments based on PA timesheets; DP holder handles contracts and issue resolution.
If your independence and well being are at significant risk, Cornwall Council will arrange to visit you, they will carry out a needs assessment to look at your eligible social care needs.
Cornwall Council will work out a personal budget so you can organise and purchase your own care and support via an agreed support plan. This gives you choice and control over the support you get.
Your support plan could include care at home, short term care, minor home adaptations, loaning you equipment and more.
You can use this eligibility checker to see if you could receive financial assistance.
If you require support but are not eligible for Direct Payments, Cornwall Council may offer you advice or suggest you use the Community Directory to find support near your home.
If you are not eligible for care and support from Cornwall Council, they will put you in touch with other organisations that may be able to help.
You can find details of these organisations in their Community Directory.
Your carer, if you have one, may also find help through our Carers’ Service.
